In nature, hawks and crows don’t get along much.
but in chickasaw lore, the two creatures learn to use their specialized traits to work together to survive the harsh winter.
In honor of this story from her heritage, beth’s first linocuts were of a hawk and a crow, which became not only the representation of her printmaking booth, but of beth and her husband, Colin.
and thus was born… hawk & crow studio!
Together, this dynamic duo will work together to provide graphic design, Digital art, digital photography, Film photography, and handmade prints to folks who are looking to not just receive a product or service, but who are looking to work together to uplift human-made art.

Meet Beth
Beth has been a photographer and designer for the past 12 years.
Her digital photography work largely focuses on capturing action in motion, such as theatrical performances, event coverage and live sports. But she has also honed her talents with staged photography on high-fashion bridal shoots, food photography, publicity materials for products and productions alike, and portrait work.
After finally figuring out that she liked making magazines more than writing them, she completed her Master of Design program in 2024, where she also learned linocut relief prints. Since then, she has been working for TheatreSquared as their in-house graphic designer, and began Hawk & Crow in its original form as a printmaking business.
She now gets to fuse her passion for photography, printmaking and digital illustration in one gig. Neat!
Meet Colin
Colin combines the stories of his projects with the mediums he chooses to master.
Having spent the better part of his life building towards a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Missouri in 2021, the notions of community, process, and product are all intertwined in his work.
His approach centers around choice - what we choose to make of what we have, and what we choose to take along with us for the ride. Whether in film, decades old digicams, or the thrifted computer hardware processing the pixels, every component is both joyful and intentional.
At the center of what Colin takes with him is his 1993 Subaru Impreza. This car, in his life since his first day on earth, doomed him to be a gearhead from the start. While it may or may not run (as project cars do), it always motivates his pursuit to capture adventure - especially in motorsports, car culture, and events celebrating creative authenticity. He looks forward to bringing the same moxie that has kept the little Subaru alive for over 30 years to your project, celebrating the stories that you bring forward.
Should luck allow, he will gleefully meet you to pursue your vision in that little wagon and pass the passion forwards!
